    Description

Antique 1742 Richard Gurney & Co. British Sterling Silver Engraved Pitcher Cup
According to experts at The London Silver Vaults, this rare, beautifully engraved British pitcher bears hallmarks showing it was made in London in 1742 by Richard Gurney & Co. The lion passant certifies 925/1000 sterling.
    Pitcher w
    eighs 642g (1 pound 6.7 ounces). It
measures 10" high from top of the female figure to the base, 7" from handle to the lip of the pitcher.
Condition is good.  It appears excellent from the outside, as shown. Looking inside out (holding it against light), it has a couple of small holes that in no way detract from its extraordinary beauty.
